MOUMINES You can't miss it, the Moumines are omnipresent and very famous in Finland. Personally I didn't know them at all, which may shock the Finns. I have the impression that in comparison it's as if someone in France said he didn't know Casimir.  TOVE JANSSON Tove Jansson invented the Moumines (Muumi in Finnish) during the Second World War, so that children could escape to a lighter world. In 1952, she achieved a success that transcended borders and decided to change the format of the stories to comics.  HERITAGE AWARDS Three albums were translated into French in 2008 as part of the Petit Lézard collection and were awarded the Heritage Awards 2008 at the Angouleme festival.
